Activity is an important tool in managing a healthy lifestyle, and can be just as important as diet and medications! Activity can improve circulation, heart health, weight loss, glucose levels, and insulin resistance. The current recommendation is to get at least 150 minutes of activity a week, but those minutes don’t have to be all at once! A new study supports diabetes benefits even from small segments of activity. The study showed that glucose levels were improved after walking for just 3 & 10 min and insulin resistance improved after 10 minutes of walking. Go get moving! Read more here.
