A 30-year veteran of the footwear, apparel and textile space, from 2011 through 2016, Jim was the President & CEO of Converse, Inc. and has held senior executive positions at Nike, Levi Strauss & Co., and The Walt Disney Company. Before founding Circufiber, Jim spent 18 months as the CEO of Celliant, a responsive textile company. Jim has a proven track record of financial success, brand building and top-level leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Capozzi is a board-certified foot surgeon through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Wound Management and Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He completed a three-year residency program in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT in 2010. Dr. Capozzi is a board-certified Wound Specialist® granted by the American Academy of Wound Management. He is also board-certified in Foot Surgery through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Mayerson currently serves as the Associate Chief of Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital and as an Associate Professor at Yale School of Medicine. He has been practicing endocrinology and internal medicine for 20 years and has been consistently named to Connecticut’s Top Doctors list throughout his career. Dr. Mayerson received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed both his residency and fellowship at Yale. He is currently the lead investigator on Circufiber’s clinical trial at Yale studying the benefits of Infrared textiles on people living with diabetes.
Member of Circufiber, Inc.'s Board of Directors and former President and CEO of Joslin Diabetes Center. From 2015 through 2019, Dr. Amenta led Joslin, an independent non-profit institution affiliated with Harvard Medical School and universally regarded as the world's preeminent diabetes care and research center. Prior to his appointment, he served on Joslin's Board of Trustees for five years. During his leadership tenure at Joslin, he was credited for the rejuvenation of Joslin and expanding its research, patient care and global outreach.
